2. Sitges

Sitges is a lovely seaside resort village just 30 minutes from Barcelona to the south.  Its has lovely shops, nice beaches, vibrant nightlife and many excellent restaurants. It is called the St Tropez of Spain and also mini-Ibiza. Its history is not remarkable and there are no amazing cultural sights, but Sitges is just a very nice place to visit. Andorra and the Pyrenees mountains are a spectacular day tour from Barcelona. Both in summer and winter you can see spectacular mountain vistas of snow-capped peaks and valleys.
